Eco-Fashion
Made with fruits, weeds, flowers and leaves, 'Weedrobes' is the delightful series of meticulously detailed, perishable gowns, coats and suits by Canadian environmental artist Nicole Dextras.
EcoMan feels alienated in the concrete jungle and he seeks refuge in the city's urban landscaping. His suit made from Laurel, Magnolia and Yucca leaves, which protects him from the harmful rays of polyester that bombard him daily as he walks the streets searching for a place to call home.
Yucca Leaves and Flowers, Thorns.
Camellia Countessa is a wearable garment made entirely from leaves, branches and flowers. The design is based on the French Pannier (basket) dress, which where originally constructed from Willow branches.

Art Gone Postal
Artist Sandy Schimmel uses Junk Mail to create Pop Art Mosaics. Inspired by glass art she saw in Venice, Italy, she created a new art form that mimics a mosaic--and recycles waste.
Schimmel first paints a portrait in acrylic, then glues colorful bits from junk mail and greeting cards directly on top. The paint shows between the squares of paper, creating the effect of grout and mosaic. Schimmel says, "I'm able to express inspiration through painting and mosaic while using resources that would otherwise go to waste."
Seen above, "eco-friendly fine art" featuring metallic gold paper collected from embossed holiday cards.

Edible Art - Brand Logos
Artist Rakka produces "a thing-a-day" and, most recently, created a series of brand logos made out of the brand's own product (i.e. Quaker Oats logo out of oatmeal.)
Seen above: Crisco logo in a skillet, the Pillsbury logo made with cookie dough and the Pop Tarts logo carved from the blueberry-version of the toaster treats. To be even more wow'd by this artist's talent and creativity (and to view celebrity portraits made from mayonnaise or mustard), visit Rakka's website.
Collage Collaboration
Scrapiteria is made up of collagists who work in the traditional cut and paste method. Each week, one of the members posts a new theme which they all intrepret in their own way. Works shown above are by Scrappyboy.
Edible Art - Sugar
This is one in a series of images in the Edible Art collection. (to the right.)
Written in sugar: “If I want to explore a new direction professionally, it is helpful to try it out for myself first.” The design is Marian Bantjes, who has been called "perhaps the most important, conceptually complete designer of our time."

So Do I
This "cool" typographic drawing was created by seemingly "nice" graphic designer Will Bryant. Will says, "I make stuff because I get sad if i don't."
